Job Description:

The Microelectronics Division of the Space & Airborne Systems segment is seeking a Senior Principal Program Manager to guide strategic direction and manage P&L. The role entails leading strategic planning, market assessment, investment prioritization, portfolio shaping, and offering strategic consulting, and project management. The leader will influence senior management with innovative ideas, implement strategies, and develop mission and technology roadmaps and actions to fill technology needs. Additionally, the role requires fostering strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams, effectively converting market insights into actionable strategies.

Essential Functions:

• Support the Division GM with operational strategies to meet AOP commitments and growth objectives
• Develop and iteratively improve a cohesive, long-term division strategy that addresses market/customer needs, technology development, differentiated solutions, customer relationships, and organizational alignment
• Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives including orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new and existing programs by quarter and year
• Monitor and assess program performance against plans (schedule and financial), identify risks through a risk register, manage risk mitigation plans, and conduct reviews and approvals of major bids and proposals through opportunity, risk, and financial analysis
• Establish, grow, and maintain close customer relationships
• Participate in the marketing and sales process, actively promote the organization’s capabilities and strengths, and ensure that customer perspectives drive business decisions
• Establish the direction for new processes, systems, solutions, and products by conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpreting innovative solutions
• Regularly tackle complex problem-solving and innovation opportunities, considering the implications for multiple areas of the organization and analyzing both near-term and long-term effects
• Develop and implement Program Management Office (PMO) policies, procedures, and methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Monitor to ensure compliance with established polices
• Coordinate with members of the Division senior leadership team (SLT) to evolve, expand, and augment the Microelectronic division product lines
• Coordinate cross sector and cross segment on larger, enterprise-wide development efforts

Qualifications:

Must Have an Active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business area or functional teams
• Experience with commercial business models Prior experience with Defense & Cyber companies is required
• Broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines within the organization
• Ability to combine theory, past practical experience, and the organization’s business practices
• Prior program management and proposal management experience
• Demonstrated ability to present to executives/management on important topics
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify problems and propose solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically disbursed teams
• Ability to handle complex problems and take initiative to research issues, engage in self-learning, problem solve, and implement solutions
• Ability to establish rapport, communicate effectively, and collaborate with users, data providers, and management at all levels within an organization
• Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance
