Job Description:
The Targeting and Sensors Systems Sector is seeking an experienced FP&A Sr. Manager to lead and drive business results though free cash flow improvements, division financial performance consolidation and analysis, financial risk mitigation, and management of financial professionals in the TSS Sector. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who collaborates cross functionally with a variety of individuals across all levels of the organization. Must be able to effectively interface with executive levels of management.
The ideal candidate has a passion and ability to focus on the important business details driving key financial metrics (earnings, cash flow, orders, revenue) while continually assessing reasonableness, understanding why something changes, and determining how to achieve desired business results.
This is a highly visible role and has the ability to drive change and create value for the organization through insightful analysis and actionable recommendations. There will be numerous opportunities to present your findings to executive leadership.
Essential Functions:
- Sector level analysis and consolidation of financial information across 4 domestic and international business divisions.
- Ability to manage a geographically diverse team.
- Forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Statistics) including coordinating, preparing, and analyzing various financial reports and data prior to submission
- Weekly closure analysis and reporting for Orders, Sales, Operating Income, and Cash flow
- Develop and maintain program working capital in FCSTGov system
- Forecast and provide variance analysis for Free Cash Flow
- Work closely with program finance, accounting and TSS CFO to develop accurate financial plan
- Drives understanding of variances and then works with appropriate individuals to identify corrective actions, risks, or opportunities resulting from those variances.
- Experience developing and presenting executive level presentations tailored to both finance and non-finance personnel
- Annual operating plan development
- Monthly balance sheet and cash analysis and variance analysis
- Financial reporting process improvement projects
- Develops tools, templates, and processes to simplify ways of gathering data and preparing reports, while also ensuring the information gathered is relevant and at an appropriate level of detail.
- Ad hoc financial requests
- Lead/support numerous requests throughout the year in support of various Segment and CHQ functions
- Manage and perform multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft & Queries; familiar with HypFcst and Hyperion Planning applications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- 8+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Program Cost, Schedule & Controls, Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgets & Rates, Earned Value
- U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Aerospace and/or DoD industry experience
- Outstanding financial acumen blended with business partnership and leadership
- Detail oriented mind with ability to assess macro level impacts of changes within a division.
- Proven track record of process improvement and experience with financial systems and process change initiatives
- Experienced with organizational and leadership skills with the ability foster strong working relationships with cross functional partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to frame and interpret issues
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $1137K - $187K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
