Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated and driven Director of Program Management to oversee a $60M portfolio focusing on mission system integration of subsea networks, telerobotics, communications, and autonomous underwater vehicle technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong program management skills, a growth mindset, strategic vision, and experience managing programs in high-complexity, highly dynamic environments. Additionally, a strong focus on customer relations and intimacy is essential. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions and make a significant impact within the Maritime Systems business area of the Intel & Cyber sector.
Essential Functions:
• Lead the development and execution of the company's Quantum and Nanosystems growth strategy
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the Quantum and Nanosystems space
• Collaborate with technical teams to align business objectives with Quantum and Nanosystems capabilities
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including USG, Commercial, and International customers and partners
• Drive the commercialization, productization, and or deployment of Quantum and Nanosystems solutions
• Oversee market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions
• Develop and manage budgets for business initiatives
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
• Represent the company at industry conferences and events
• Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership and executive team
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
• Recruit and lead a high-performing team
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Monitor and report on the performance of programs and related R&D efforts
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies
• Identify and secure funding opportunities for projects
• Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research organizations
• Advocate for the company's vision and strategy both internally and externally
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Quantum and Nanosystems
• Ensure the company remains at the forefront of Quantum and Nanosystems technology
Qualifications:
• Must Have an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
• Experience with government contracting
• Strong understanding of Quantum, Advanced Photonic, and Nanosystem principles and applications
• Experience in managing budgets and financial planning
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Established relationships with key government and industry players in the Quantum and Nanosystem spaces
• Extensive experience in business leadership roles, preferably in the Quantum and Nanosystems markets
• Advanced degree in business, computer science, physics, or a related field
• Experience pursuing new business with USG and International customers
• Broad knowledge of Quantum Computing, Algorithms, Networks, and Sensing
• Broad knowledge of Nanosystems: Photonics, Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), and Microelectronics
• Experience with Intellectual Property (IP) management
• Hungry growth/hustle/can-do mindset
• Experience planning and executing programs with complex technical content
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Experience leading highly complex technical teams
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and change
