Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a proactive and dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of our Manufacturing Engineering programs, policies, and training. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Essential Functions:
- Directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks in the production floor
- Process development, monitor and improvement responsibility for manufacturing processes.
- Monitor defect trends, support and implement process improvements thru root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Candidate will support teams in the resolution of manufacturing production yields, quality and reliability issues.
- Monitor production processes for efficiency, throughput, and safety improvements.
- Provides technical support solving problems thru process improvements related to processes and manufacturing products.
- Interfacing with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure hardware producibility developing build strategies.
- Highly interactive, willing to work in team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineer or a related field with 0 or 2 year of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 4 year of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with Data Analytics and Dashboard Analytics Development
- Development and generation of KPI to measure production floor execution and efficiency
- Data Visualization, Analysis Tool and Statistic background a plus
- Working knowledge of IPC/J-STD workmanship requirements.
- LEAN Experience and/or formal training.
- Understanding and familiarity of Manufacturing Execution System is a plus
- Excellence with solving problems as they occur, recommending and implementing improvements as needed related to production process
- Ability to manage resources and multiple priorities while interreacting with individuals at all levels within the organization and customers as required
