About your next Challenge as an Systems Engineering Intern (Winter 2026):

Working as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team consisting of electrical, mechanical, software, and systems engineers. The candidate will coordinate with electrical, mechanical, system engineering functions and perform tasks assigned by the engineering functions, such as support in the preparation of technical drawings and documentation. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the improvement of engineering tools, processes, and documentation. The intern will also assist with document management tools such as SharePoint and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

Key criteria for this role include strong collaboration, communication, data management, and organization skills. 

What will you do:

  • Support with technical documentation and drawings including:
    • Electrical Block Diagrams,
    • Schematics,
    • GA Drawings,
    • Cable and Equipment Lists,
    • Technical Specifications.
  • Support cross-functional efforts to improve engineering processes and streamline workflow, reduce manual effort, and enhance accuracy
  • Assist in the creation of high-level functional block diagrams based on the system engineering input
  • Organize and maintain engineering documentation and files structures using document management platforms
  • Help track and monitor engineering performance metrics using tools such as Jira and Scrum-based dashboards
  • Update performance and schedule metrics based on the inputs from the engineering functions
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentation materials, incorporating feedback from the engineering functions
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather meeting notes, actions lists and communicate to the engineering functions

Required Skills and Experiences:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates having completed 2 or more years of university studies.

Preferred additional skills, education and certifications:

  • Flexible team player able to adapt successfully to a fast-paced agile environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Dependable, responsible and committed to excellence and success
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Familiarity or Ability to work on CAD tools
  • Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering components, their use and representation on engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of Macros and VBA would be valued
  • Interest in engineering process optimization

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
