Description:
Aerojet-Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Final Assembly Technician whose primary responsibilities include soldering, wiring, electronic and mechanical assembly on electronic boxes, equipment racks and missile sections. Work will be conducted by utilizing and following existing work instructions to complete assembly tasks on flight hardware. This position is located in Orlando, FL.
Essential Functions:
Point-to-point wiring of electrical and mechanical components
Integrate sub-assemblies with cabling, and point-to-point wiring.
Assembly and wiring of electrical assemblies and components
Understand electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings; technical documents
Make reliable electrical connections
Proficient at cable and wire stripping/crimping/labeling
Produce quality soldering and tinning
Skilled use of basic hand tools and related diagnostic equipment
High quality of workmanship: neat cable routing/bundling; clean and consistent results
Advanced wiring methods knowledge. Including color coding, proper connector mating, neatness, wire gauging and sizing.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum 6 years of prior manufacturing experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior manufacturing experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Prior aerospace industry experience
Strong mechanical aptitude (some mechanical assembly)
Requires a specialized level of knowledge in the final assembly of flight hardware.
Good time management and multi-tasking skills
Must have good oral and written communications skills
IPC620 and J-STD-001 certification desired
Moderate computer skills desired
