Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an Integration/Test Engineering Specialist, RC-135 Mission Systems for our location at Offutt AFB, Nebraska to provide immediate impact sustaining extremely complex airborne and ground-based systems for the RC-135. These include:
- Operating LOS and SATCOM radios in voice, text, and data modes
- Configuring, loading, operating, and maintaining various crypto devices
- Performing configuration, setup, and usage of Data Transfer Devices
- Operating and sustaining various datalinks and broadband communications
- Troubleshooting/Repairing HF, VHF, and UHF receiver/transmitter systems.
- Operating and sustaining digital/computer-based systems, associated networks, digital and analog audio/interphone, and recorder systems
- Repairing coax, ethernet, and multi-pin cables and connections
- Utilizing electronic schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair digital and analog circuits.
- Managing system records and coordinating with maintenance supply organizations for requisition, documentation, and turn-in of parts.
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Active Secret clearance with ability to get obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance within 1 year
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of computers, LAN networks, RF theory and techniques, radios, and datalinks is required.
- Previous experience troubleshooting/maintaining RC-135 mission systems or similar.
- Must be able to work variable shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. up to 5% of the time.
- Ability to climb ladders daily.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other advanced test equipment
- Broadband and voice communications experience
- Previously qualified to troubleshoot and maintain RC-135 mission systems or similar.
