Job Description:   

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a dedicated Cable Assembly Supervisor to join our MPES Services team in Norfolk. In this role, you will be responsible for performing standardized technical assignments, which involve a series of related operations on submarine molded cable assemblies and components. Additionally, you will supervise a team of cable mold employees, assigning tasks, creating schedules, and acting as a customer interface.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise and manage a team of cable mold employees including assigning tasking and creating work schedules.
• Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments; technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non routine work may also be reviewed in process.
• Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
• Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
• Prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
• Extracts engineering data from various prescribed but non standardized sources; processes the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry; presents the data in prescribed form.
• Other duties may be assigned to include overtime work to complete production requirements.

Job Qualification Requirements:  

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

• United States Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• Must be able to read and interpret cable assembly drawings.
• Must be able to read and execute hydrostatic pressure tank procedures.
• Must be L3Harris qualified to operate forklifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds by themselves.
• Must be able to traverse ladders.
