Job Description
The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for the expansion of L3Harris's systems solutions within the Netherlands including the FOXTROT program. This role is pivotal in planning, organizing, and directing the completion of systems architectures, and bespoke C4ISR solutions that incorporate TCOM products into diverse platforms. Based in the Netherlands, the position demands regional travel and active participation in the establishment of a regional office and integration facility.
The Netherlands aims to integrate closely and build their communication capability under the FOXTROT program; however, this role will span all programs in the Netherlands. This includes a comprehensive approach to modernization, maintenance capability, and integration. A Project Engineer is needed to ensure these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope. The Project Engineer will work closely with both US and NL cross-functional teams, including design, development, and operations, to ensure the customer’s integration, testing, and fielding efforts are successful.
Essential Functions:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Establish and maintain relationships with NL MoD.
- Participate in planning and coordination meetings with the NL MoD
- Serve as an intermediary between the technical execution engineers and the NL MoD customer to ensure the right resources are leverage to the best capacity.
- Participate in technical discussions with customer development teams, leveraging L3Harris Radio and modern MANET Waveforms.
- Assist in coordinating the design and integration activities of L3Harris products with third-party systems, including intercom systems, electronics, software applications, and power systems.
- Facilitate the development of comprehensive system architectures to meet customer-specific requirements for C4ISR systems, ensuring deployment over various radio frequencies for voice and data applications.
- Partner with Product PLM and Engineering to influence technical product changes and roadmaps based on significant customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales, Program and Project Management to translate customer requirements, including informal ones, into balanced technical, schedule, and cost solutions.
- Assist with the establishment of a regional office and integration facility.
- Prepare and present project status reports.
Qualifications:
- BSEE/BSME/BSCE/BSSE with 9+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 7+ years of work experience.
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in large Systems Project Engineering
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Candidate must have and maintain a NL Secret security clearance.
- Candidate must have spoken and written fluency in English and Dutch.
- Please be aware this position requires the ability to obtain a NATO security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to citizens in the country in which they are a resident. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts.
- Proficiency in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
- Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools.
- Knowledge of Multi-Level Security (MLS) and Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Framework Process for net-centric operations.
- Strong technical proposal experience, including detailed scheduling, work breakdown structure development, basis of estimates development, and technical writing.
