Job Schedule: Day Shift

Compensation Range: Between $46,000 - $86,000 annually

L3Harris MAPPS is looking for an Accounts Payable Technician who will participate in the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable Department. The Accounts Payable Technician will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of key tasks which include invoice processing, payments and communications with suppliers. The ideal candidate will therefore need to be detail oriented, be able to manage a large volume of invoices/emails and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines.

Essential Functions: 

  • Processing invoices by ensuring timely data entry and accurate coding;
  • Working efficiently with procurement and project management teams to obtain necessary invoice approvals;
  • Working with finance team to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and reported all within the financial deadlines set;
  • Processing payments using various methods ensuring adherence to company policies;
  • Ensuring that vendor relationships are maintained;
  • Recording and reporting expenses, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax laws;
  • Providing support in the preparation of reports to management, audits and other projects;
  • Following procedures and guidelines to mitigate the risk of theft and fraud;
  • Any other related duties.

Qualifications: 

  • Professional degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities; 
  • Attention to detail with strong knowledge of accounts payable cycle;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Focused on teamwork and collaboration;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, both orally and in writing.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
