Compensation Range: Between $90,000- $140,000 CDN annually

Essential Functions:

Reporting to the Manager – Operations Management, the Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing the activities of a team of unionized employees dedicated to quality control. He ensures adherence to production schedules as well as quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

The role also involves promoting L3Harris values within the team, fostering a professional work environment, and supporting excellence in maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise work teams in compliance with the collective agreement and company directives;
  • Plan and coordinate, with team leads, quality control activities (production, manufacturing, receiving, and NDT) in line with customer requirements and quality, cost, and schedule objectives;
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance on root cause analyses and the implementation of corrective actions;
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure follow-up on required actions;
  • Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and operations teams;
  • Interpret regulatory and technical requirements to support the quality team in decision-making;
  • Ensure effective communication with teams regarding project progress, priorities, and organizational challenges;
  • Maintain harmonious, respectful, and collaborative working relationships;
  • Plan and manage team work schedules;
  • Review and approve employee timesheets;
  • Support teams in resolving technical and operational issues;
  • Develop employee skills through coaching, training, and mentoring, while supporting succession planning;
  • Promote and enforce health and safety standards in the workplace;
  • Act as a change agent by encouraging continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Foster strong collaboration with other supervisors and internal and external stakeholders;
  • Establish and maintain, with the team, performance indicators to ensure operational efficiency;
  • Analyze and communicate the impact of constraints (planning, materials, engineering) and collaborate with program teams to minimize delivery impacts;
  • Manage special projects and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, operations management, aerospace) or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in operations management within the aerospace industry;
  • Experience in team supervision (experience with unionized employees is an asset);
  • Results- and customer-oriented, with integrity aligned to organizational values;
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills;
  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Leadership, availability, flexibility, attention to detail, stress management, and customer service orientation;
  • Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written. The English language, in addition to the French language, is necessary due to contractual requirements;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
