Position Overview: L3Harris Technologies is seeking a seasoned L5 Manager, Contracts to lead our dynamic Contracts team. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of Department of Defense FAR Part 15 contracting, procurement regulations, and the ability to drive improvements in contract administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of contractual negotiations, management of complex contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Essential Functions:
- Lead a team of experienced contracts professionals, ensuring high-quality contract management and administration.
- Communicate effectively within and outside the organization to influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches.
- Develop and implement significant improvements in contract processes, systems, or products.
- Establish and execute short-term operational plans with measurable contributions to the function or business area results.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and other stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with FAR and DFARS required and functional knowledge of SAP input and report generation.
- Must have hands on experience with ITAR
- Experience with reviewing RFPs, preparing proposals, negotiation, definitization and administration of DoD Contracts
- Minimum of 6 years current experience with risk assessment of proposals/contract terms and conditions and strategies to minimize potential risks to the business.
- Experience effectively interfacing at all levels of company management
- Minimum of 6years current experience effectively interfacing with Government customers and other customer organizations
- Ability to travel as required and on short notice.
- This position requires the ability to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Current and active Secret security clearance, or higher.
- Experience in problem solving through creative solutions drawing from prior experience is preferred.
- Must be detailed oriented
- Possess excellent communications skills. Effectively communicate via formal letters complicated and sensitive subjects, possess proper email skills, and possess excellent verbal communication skills.
- Experience and be able to manage complex projects or processes.
- Experience leading a team/project in gathering comprehensive data from multiple disciplines and lead a team to address complex issues and concerns. Problems typically require consideration from multiple areas or specialties.
