  • Partner with the finance and accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate reporting of tax-related information in SEC filings and external financial statements.
  • Own the process for provision and cash tax forecasting, providing insights and analysis to reflect changing business conditions and/or tax laws.
  • Continuously monitor legislative changes, tax regulations, and accounting interpretations that may impact income tax accounting and communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Oversee internal controls over accounting for income taxes, ensuring compliance with SOX controls, and drive continuous process improvement and efficiency across tax operations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors with respect to income tax accounting and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of the company’s effective tax rate (ETR) calculations and forecasts, including detailed analysis of drivers and variances, for executive leadership.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of tax provision software (e.g., Hyperion Tax Provision), ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Conduct and review technical tax research and analyses, providing guidance on complex tax accounting and reporting matters.
  • Support special projects, such as M&A due diligence, structuring, or integration, as they relate to income tax.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax reporting processes.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing tax reporting team, promoting growth, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
