Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a talented Senior Specialist, Quality Engineering to support the Quality / Business Systems at Mason Space & Sensors in technical problem-solving to address quality/business issues on products / processes within a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment. This role leads and/or facilitates RCCA teams and continuous improvement efforts across the site.
Essential Functions:
·Maintains Corrective and Preventive Action Systems at site, including regular Corrective Action Board meetings with Senior Leadership Team.
·Acts as a coach resource for teams working on quality issues to provide thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems utilizing statistical, problem solving, and change management techniques.
·Creates and maintains Electronic Dashboards (eg.: PowerBI, SmartSheets) for Operations Key Processes and Metrics.
·Assists teams with process improvements and change management
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
·Minimum 4 years utilizing formal problem-solving techniques within high mix, low volume manufacturing environment
·Minimum 2 years developing command media (e.g., SOP’s, processes, procedures)
·Experienced in working with cross-organizational and cross-functional teams of all levels while maintaining professional Quality independence
·Experience in data analytics.
- Problem Solving / RCCA experience
- Development of command media (e.g., SOP’s, processes, procedures)
- Experience in data analytics and electronic data systems
·Self-starter with an engaging style; solid influencing and facilitation skills who will develop relationships and build on a collaborative work environment;
·Document control / configuration management (i.e. TeamCenter)
·Must be able to obtain security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
·Lean expert or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification
·Working familiarity of AS9100, ISO9001, J-STD Workmanship, ANSI J-Standards (Class 3) and IPC Workmanship Standards (Class 3) and TipQA.
·Knowledge of Shainin problem solving methods.
·Experience developing and giving technical training.
·Working familiarity with Electronic Documentation systems (i.e. MES, DOMO, Network Systems)
·Experience with ERP / MRP Systems
