Job Description:

L3Harris Space and Sensors in Mason, OH is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager. The successful candidate must have a demonstrable record of achievement in the contracting career field and will be responsible for managing daily, cradle-to-grave US Government contract management activities on a variety of programs and requirements. 

Essential Functions:

All aspects of contract management, including but not limited to:

  1. Terms and condition review, markup, and negotiation;
  2. Preparation and negotiation of pre-award agreements including non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements;
  3. Proposal preparation, including detailed analysis of cost and pricing details, risk, opportunities, and creating unique terms and conditions with cross functional input;
  4. Lead contract negotiations for all scope, cost, terms, and conditions; and
  5. Contract execution, change management, and contract closeout.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated of being the focal point of communications between company and customer.  Additionally, successful candidate must have demonstrated the record of being a key member of an integrated program team, supporting the customer, program management, engineering, finance, quality, operations, and supply chain through clear communication of contractual requirements, interpretation, law, regulations, and policies and procedures. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in interacting effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Experience with US Government Contracts including (at a minimum) cost-reimbursement, T&M, and Firm Fixed Price contracts
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS, and TINA. Familiarity with ITAR.
  • Experience negotiating contract type, terms and conditions, and price.
  • Experience with intellectual property and data rights.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. government which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Additional Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint 
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $167,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
