Job Description:
This is an entry level position that will work collaboratively with the division HR team and operations leaders. In addition to ensuring effective delivery of HR core processes and compliance with relevant company guidelines and policies, this position requires the ability to partner and influence people at all levels of the organization. This position supports a large and complex manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate for the role has the ability to be agile, has a passion for helping others succeed, and will be responsible for supporting the execution of HR strategy for both the Space and Sensors business and the Fuzing and Ordnance business. This position will work in two office locations (30 minutes apart) in both Mason and Batavia.
Essential Functions:
- Partnering both within HR and on a cross-functional basis in executing talent strategies to support achievement of business operating plans and strategic objectives, while building on the cultural foundation of the division.
- Continued drive towards seamless integration within the HR function, ensuring the delivery of value-added, high-quality and proactive HR support on a consistent division-wide basis.
- Work with leaders to drive organizational performance and promote valued behaviors.
- Supports the development of organizational capability and bench strength to deliver against key business objectives, inclusive of talent reviews, succession, and resource planning.
- Works closely with Operations leadership and the Talent Acquisition group to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained and an effective workforce plan is implemented.
- Proactively works Employee Relations issues to ensure a positive, employee-friendly culture.
- Understands and implements corporate processes and procedures with an understanding of impacts to site and organization while effectively working with leadership at all levels to optimize operational results.
- Partners with functional HR peers in the design and implementation of HR best practices related to performance management, recruiting and on-boarding, etc, that effectively balance best-in-class design principles with the unique nature and needs of the business.
- Develop and implement programs that foster engagement and sound employee relations.
- Formulate, measure and utilize key HR metrics / dashboard to help develop HR strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Pursing Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated experience and competence in the various HR functional areas: Labor & Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation; Employee Relations; Leadership Coaching, Training and Organizational development, Diversity & Engagement; Change Management & Leadership
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
