Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a talented Engineering Test Technician Level B to support engineering and development test activities for complex electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical systems. The selected candidate will perform moderately complex technical assignments involving test setup, execution, troubleshooting, data collection, and equipment maintenance in support of engineering, integration, qualification, and production activities. This role works from established procedures, engineering documentation, schematics, drawings, and test plans, and partners closely with engineers, program teams, and other technicians to ensure accurate, timely, and safe test operations.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or schematics to perform work duties
• Work under direct supervision using a prescribed set of processes and procedures
• Work directly with engineers optimizing test processes and procedures 
• Lean, continuous improvement mindset
• Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 32 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Team lifting or mechanical assistance must be used whenever required by established safety procedures
• Ability to work occasional off-shift and overtime work. 
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance

Qualifications:

• Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Strong work ethic and strong leadership skills with solid communication, interpersonal management and relationship building skills being a must. 
• Strong Office tool skills along with general instrumentation hardware and software knowledge
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Windows and Office)
