Job Description:
The Quality Technician B performs MIL-STD-810 environmental tests in the Environmental Test Lab while supporting and interfacing with Quality, Operations and Engineering personnel. Candidates with a background in environmental testing and a commitment to excellence are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions:
- Perform MIL-STD 810 testing.
- Demonstrate an ability, and willingness, to perform multiple, simultaneous, tasks and the technical requirements of the job.
- Be able to follow, and comprehend, work instructions, test procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Setup and operate environmental test chambers, environmental test equipment, vibration equipment and electronic test stations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Perform basic equipment and product troubleshooting when necessary.
- Independently evaluate products tested.
- Record and compile test data for test reports.
- Some heavy lifting is required.
- Candidate must be able to work overtime, including weekends & holidays, with short notice.
- Maintain reliable attendance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior quality experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with 0 to 2 years of prior quality experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with MIL-STD environmental testing.
- Prior experience in Quality Assurance.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in handling intricate tasks, performing precise movement and attention to detail.
- Proficient with MS Office.
