Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies Inc. offers a complete line of propulsion products from launch vehicles to missile defense to advanced hypersonic propulsion. These have been used in a wide variety of government and commercial applications, including the main engines for the space shuttle, Atlas and Delta launch vehicles, missile defense systems, and Space Launch Systems. Join our team as a Senior Specialist, Production Planning in our Stennis Space Center Scheduling and Material Planning organization which plays a key role from proposal to product delivery company wide.

Essential Functions:

• Release Supplier Requisitions and Shop Orders for both Bill of Material (BOM) and independent demand requirements.
• Analyze program demand, create requisitions, maintain horizontal plan or line of balance, and initiate material transfers.
• Work collaboratively with Integrated Product Team (IPT) to address issues, problem solve and strategize to ensure we are meeting our customer commitments.  
• Identify and initiate Program Inventory Surplus/Close Out.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support the specific program efforts.
• Up to 10% travel to other L3Harris facilities and suppliers across the country.
• Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Individual must be able to obtain and maintain NASA Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) and DOD Secret security clearance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related planning experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related planning experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related planning experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Prior Oracle/ERP/Delmia/Windchill Experience.
• American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other applicable software
• Demonstrated Lean Experience or Certification.

• Operations, Procurement, Scheduling and Engineering Value Stream experience, or demonstrated willingness to learn.
