Job Description:

Aerojet Rocketdyne, a L3Harris segment, is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader providing propulsion and energetics to its space, missile defense, and strategic, tactical missile and armaments customers throughout domestic and international markets. We offer a complete line of propulsion products for launch vehicles, missile defense, and advanced hypersonic propulsion. At this location produce and develop a variety of energetic assemblies for rocket propulsion.

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Master Scheduler to join our Manufacturing Strategy and Growth team located in Huntsville Alabama. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a green field environment. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for developing innovative solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support the manufacturing and production plan.
  • Coordinate activities related to new product introductions, ensuring smooth integration into existing production schedules.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, engineering, and other departments to align schedules with resource availability and operational capabilities.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address production bottlenecks and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage schedules for multiple product lines, ensuring priority and resource allocation align with company goals and customer demands.
  • Analyze data and provide regular reports on production status, capacity utilization, and schedule adherence.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders to provide updates and address any scheduling conflicts or issues.
  • Utilize scheduling software and tools to develop and maintain an accurate and efficient schedule.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance scheduling efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior Master Scheduling experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Master Scheduling experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Master Scheduling experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration, Engineering is desired.
  • Proven experience as a Master Scheduler in the aerospace and defense industry is strongly desired.
  • Strong understanding of new product introduction processes and challenges.
  • Experience managing schedules for multiple product lines.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and tools, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to production scheduling and aerospace and defense manufacturing.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar credentials.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Milestones Professional.
