L3Harris Technologies, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) is seeking an exceptionally motivated, proactive individual to support the Procurement function. This role requires an eye for detail, accuracy, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven track record for taking the initiative, delivering exceptional results, and exceeding expectations.
Our team is comprised of the following four (4) categories: Metal, Fabrication and Hardware; Electronics and Electromechanical; Aircraft Parts, Equipment, Repair and Overhaul; IT, Telecom, Software and Services. The role encompasses strategic procurement and management of a broad spectrum of commodities and services critical to the organization's infrastructure and operational efficiency. This includes:
- Source and procure software subscriptions that meet program requirements.
- Negotiate and manage equipment rental agreements for cost efficiency and availability.
- Schedule calibration services for precision instruments, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Acquire test equipment and coordinate test services, collaborating with supplier quality for timely service completion.
- Oversee equipment, engine, and part repairs and overhauls, ensuring quality service.
- Identify and procure contract labor, selecting qualified contractors and meeting legal requirements.
- Manage the acquisition of services such as maintenance or logistics support, meeting project needs.
- Work with teams to assess procurement needs, secure approvals, and support business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of statistical data to assess the viability of product purchases and establish clear pricing objectives.
- Approve and qualify vendors based on stringent criteria to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers, scrutinize bids, and execute award decisions, overseeing the entire order fulfillment process.
- Engage in robust negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and scrutinize their operations to identify factors influencing pricing, aiming to minimize costs while maintaining quality, reliability, and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Review and assess proposals, negotiate pricing, select or recommend suppliers, and monitor market trends to inform strategic purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and may be responsible for creating and issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bid packages.
- Resolve issues with suppliers regarding damage claims, product rejections, losses, returns, excess shipments, order cancellations, and modifications due to engineering changes, ensuring ethical practices and compliance with relevant anti-corruption laws and regulations.
Essential Function:
- Sources, negotiates, and purchases, services, license and subscriptions, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
- Reviews proposals, negotiates pricing and terms and conditions, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up with orders placed, verifies delivery schedules, approves payments, and maintains necessary records. May also prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying and repairing products and to establish price objectives. Evaluates bids and selects suppliers based on price, delivery, quality, and service to obtain best overall value for L3Harris. Monitors performance of suppliers.
- This position requires close, professional & courteous daily interface with internal and external customers and all levels of leadership. Applicant must have excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of cross-functional interactions as they relate to Depot activities. Strong organizational skills, prioritizing, and the ability to multi-task and interact with several individuals at once is a must.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. An active DoD (in-scope) Secret Clearance is desired.
- Proficient in job-related knowledge and experienced in negotiating long term agreements.
