Job Description:
- Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion
- Responsible for the cost; schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
- Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals; business plans; proposal work statements and specifications; operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract\
- Acts as primary customer contact for program activities; leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost; schedule; and technical performance
- Establishes design concepts; criteria and engineering efforts for product research; development; integration and test
- Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules
- Identifies program problems and obtains solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
- Directs the work of matrixed employees assigned to the program’s IPT from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Must have an active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a top secret/SCI
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Program Manager experience with leading large-scale develop programs
- Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) Mission Systems experience
- Previous experience as a Program Manager working within the Defense Industry
- Experience utilizing and employing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) as a Program Manager
- Experience with Budget/Control Account Management; Risk Management; Financial forecasts
- Experience with Integrated Master Plan (IMP); Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Experience with Proposal Development; Program Management Plan (PMP)
- Experience with ground-based signals intelligence information systems
- Experience with bids, proposals and statements of work (SOW)
- Excellent managerial and leadership skills
- Experience presenting information to a large group or to an individual verbally for expected business presentations
- Ability to lead a team and make timely decisions in difficult situations
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
