Job Description:
Successful candidate will work with subject matter experts to develop/deliver technical training for airborne and ground-based systems. This position requires attention to detail and follow-up on all delegated assignments.
Partner with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the priorities for curriculum/courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates. Develop/deliver training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements and vendor spec sheets. Create course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the systems, and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting, trainer/simulator environment, or on aircraft.
Essential Functions:
- Works under general supervision and will be responsible for entire programs and complex processes.
- Responsible for making moderate to substantial changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Problems are typically solved through advanced education or past experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics.
- Competent in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers
- Training development and delivery in a technical environment
- Knowledge and experience implementing training programs using an instructional design methodology.
