Job Description:
The Instructor, System Support Technician is responsible for providing classroom, simulator, and in-flight instruction to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) System Support Technician (SST) Aircrew members. The candidate shall present the SST course that was delivered to the RSAF by the United Sates Air Force (USAF). They will provide mission system initialization, operation, fault isolation, mission system maintenance and recovery theory and practical instruction in the simulator and during aerial training flights. In-flight instruction will cover aircraft familiarization, emergency equipment, checklist usage, position setup, position operation, required mission system documentation, position shutdown and troubleshooting practices in-flight. The instructor will document all training and advise the squadron training section on student progress and status of training deliveries.
This position will train in Greenville, TX then permanently relocate to Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Essential Functions:
- Mission System Maintenance training in the classroom, simulator and in flight, both academic and on the job training (OJT) of USAF delivered ISR mission systems at RSAF facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and on RSAF aircraft.
- Responsible for attending all required meetings, briefings, and field training courses.
- Communicates within the job site and the PMO to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
- Interfaces with the RSAF to ensure adherence to RSAF training practices/regulations
- Ability to accommodate multiple tasking sources and able to adapt to new tasks.
- Strong communication skills. (Verbal, Written, and Presentation.)
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
- Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under extreme weather conditions and assist team members with various tasks when tasked.
- Ability to complete tasks in a largely unsupervised, team environment.
- Experience with aircraft forms and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of ISR Mission Systems and Subsystems experience.
- Master’s Degree with four (4) years of ISR Mission Systems and Subsystems experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten (10) years of ISR Mission Systems and Subsystems experience.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain FAA Class 3 Flight Physical certification within 120 days of accepting position.
- Must relocate to Saudi Arabia within 120 days of accepting position.
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance at time of hire.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
- Working overseas with foreign customers.
- Working and/or living in the middle east.
- Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity, networking, Linux, integration and/or project management.
- Cybersecurity Certification such as Sec+, CASP+, Network+ or CISSP.
