Essential Functions:
- Serve as technical program liasion and Flight Test consultant for Certification of International ISR aircraft
- Provide senior leader consultation and guidance to a team of Program Engineers and Integrated Product Team Leads, related to Flight Testing, FAA and Military Certification process
- Operate within the program-centric execution model within the matrix Engineering organization, supporting Chief Engineer, Director of Airworthiness and Director of Flight Test Operations
- Support Engineering Operations reviews, PMRs and customer Technical Interchanges
- Support Pre-Flight Type Board, Test Readiness Board, Safety Review Board, Airworthiness Flight Authorizations and Military Flight Releases
- Collaborate with Functional Engineering Departments and Line Managers on Certification and Airworthiness process application to programs
- Provide clear, concise briefings to both internal and external audiences to support program test objectives and convey status to senior leadership
- Extensive knowledge of airworthiness and Certification requirements for both FAA & military certification processes
- Must have extensive familiarity with FAR Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft regulations
- Comprehensive understanding of Test Systems, Sensors and Functions for application to data collection supporting certification of Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Aircraft; including Communications, Command & Control, Computing & Infrastructure in COMINT, ELINT, SIGINT and IMINT applications
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience (or equivalent years of total work experience). In lieu of Masters Degree, a Bachelors Degree with 25+ years will be considered.
- Direct/prior ownership of Flight Test Engineering on Commercial Business Jet Type Certification, or Commercial Derivative Business Jet Supplemental Type Certification efforts
- Flight Test Engineering experience on numerous platforms for a variety of Certification efforts
Preferred Additional Skills:
- FAA Certification experience as an Applicant
- Instrumentation Design & Implementation
- Leadership experience – Task or IPT Lead and/or Functional Management
- Executive-level interactions and communication
- Technical Program Management & Business Development experience
