Job Description:
The Administration Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Systems Engineering team by preparing weekly status reports, coordinating travel arrangements, processing expense reports, assisting with the new hire orientation, and performing a variety of other office administrative duties. The selected candidate will need to be highly organized and detail oriented.
Essential Functions:
- Provide direct administrative support to manager(s) to include calendar, scheduling, report, travel, budget, etc.
- Provide general administrative support for Labor corrections, travel, expenses, IT, supply inventory, training compliance, on/offboarding
- Manage schedules for Manager, prioritize tasks, adhere to deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and TEAMS to create presentations and communicate information
- Organize and execute employee morale events
- Assist in the overall maintenance and upkeep of conference rooms
- Maintain required level of confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient administrative/clerical skills
- Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Be familiar with basic software and demonstrate willingness to learn new software
