Job Description:
Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments
Essential Functions:
- Performs rework.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics
- Repair
- Work on drawings and diagrams
- Develop subassembly test procedures
- Diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of teste equipment
Qualifications:
- Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- General knowledge of Lean or demand flow manufacturing practices would be helpful.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with team members.
- Close attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
- Basic computer skills.
