The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, global scope, and a collaborative team setting. Provide technical and engineering participation on the Corporate data network engineering & security team with a firm grasp of networking, routing, Firewalls.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Interface with business leaders on strategic planning and design of Cloud and compute services, security, voice, data centre and NOC.
- Providing technical expertise and support in troubleshooting issues and optimising performance.
- Designs, troubleshoots, documents, implements - (2/3, VPC, VDC, Datacentre Zones, Spanning Tree, VRF, VTP, VLANs, & cabling) problem isolation and resolution.
- Support day-to-day Firewall and Remote Access changes for Palo Alto Networks devices and services
- Providing technical expertise and support in troubleshooting network issues and optimizing network performance.
- Devises solutions to operational problems within the capacity and limitations of installed equipment.
- Identifies equipment upgrade opportunities and coordinates acquisition, deployment, and implementation.
- Identifies and recommends architecture network topology modifications, enhancements, overhauls, migration plans to solve capacity, resiliency, or changing business needs.
- Supports network architectural, engineering review, change planning and other oversight discussions.
- Create and maintain documentation for use by the network operations, CISO and support teams.
- Support Tier 2-3 team to resolve complex issues.
- Participate in on-call support, scheduled weekend outages, and disaster recovery activities as required
- Respond to Cyber Security incidents and proactively engage with relevant stakeholders.
- Primarily office based with occasional travel to other UK and EMEA sites.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with 6 years of prior related experience.
- 5-10 years Network/IT Security experience at an Enterprise/large scale level
- Experience using one or more of the following platforms: Palo Alto Firewall (physical and virtual), Palo Alto Networks services (threat, Prisma, GlobalProtect, etc.), cloud services (Azure, AWS)
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, PCNSE, Security+, CCNA
- Experience with SDWAN implementation and/or support.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Splunk, Spectrum, Thousandeyes, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Administration Experience with Hyperconverged technologies such as Nutanix, Cohesity etc
- Windows/Linux server administration
