The Electronic Warfare Division is seeking a Program Finance Manager in Clifton, NJ to support the Electronic Defense Solutions business area. This role provides financial leadership and oversight for program finance personnel while partnering closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to develop, manage, and report on program financial performance. The manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining financial plans, performing analyses, and ensuring compliance with contractual and government cost-control requirements. This position leads monthly financial forecasting and long‑range planning for the SIRFC business area, with a focus on Orders, Revenue, Profit, and Cash Flow, and provides early insights into program health through ongoing analysis of performance data.
Essential Functions:
- Provide financial leadership and oversight for the SIRFC business area.
- Partner with Program Management to achieve operational and financial targets aligned to division objectives.
- Communicate financial performance, variance drivers, and key insights to Program Management and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Lead quarterly and annual forecasting activities, including roll‑up efforts supporting annual operating plans and long‑term growth strategy.
- Oversee core program finance processes, including financial forecasting, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), variance reporting, and risk and opportunity tracking.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for program leadership and key stakeholders.
- Analyze program costs, billing details, and financial trends to identify issues
- Ensure adherence to Finance policies, procedures, and best practices, advising Program Management and functional partners as needed.
- Provide overall ownership of program finance deliverables, including EVMS, customer reporting, ERP data integrity, and process improvement objectives.
- Conduct financial analyses for audits and support other financial activities as required.
- Lead, develop, and support Program Finance Analysts (PFA) through training, oversight, and coaching.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, OR a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 13 years of prior related experience will be considered.
- 5+ years’ experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) reporting.
- 5+ years’ experience preparing and supporting Program Reviews.
- 5+ years’ experience with customer financial reporting.
- 5+ years’ experience with financial forecasting and analysis.
- 5+ years’ experience partnering with Program Management and functional teams to drive program success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a financial ERP system (PeopleSoft preferred).
- Experience with financial forecasting tools such as Hyperion.
- Experience with Earned Value Management tools such as Cobra.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to partner effectively with customers and program leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $105,500 - $196,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
