L3Harris, Communication Systems-West (CSW) is seeking a Quality Specialist. Join us as a Quality Specialist and become a driving force in our cultural transformation and organizational change. This pivotal role within the Business Management System & Compliance team offers the chance to deliver significant value to the Broadband Communications Sector by aligning our Core and Supporting Business Processes with AS9100 industry standards, creating a unified and continuously improving Business Management System (BMS).
Essential Functions:
- Owns the effective integration of the requirements of AS9100, AS9145, and AS9115 into the BMS processes through effective partnership with other enterprise stakeholders, including but not limited to Business Development, Contracts, Program Management, Engineering Design & Development, Supply Chain Management, Operations (Manufacturing, Test, and Inspection) and individual contributors
- Enhance systems and processes, document updated procedures, and conduct internal audits to drive BMS efficiency
- Working in partnership with stakeholders listed above, support creation of Turtle Diagrams to document the updated processes, as well as authoring / assisting with authoring updated, process based documented procedures defining the integrated BMS
- Conduct Process Based and other Internal Audits of revenue generating core business processes and supporting key processes
- Provide in-depth audit reports, identify root causes for nonconformance, and pinpoint opportunities for system improvements
- Identify effective root cause corrective action and data analysis opportunities for improvement of the Business Management System processes
- Engage with senior leadership to advocate for policy and procedural adherence, fostering a culture of personal accountability
- May conduct briefings with senior leaders
- Additional duties may be assigned, as required, based on business needs
- Travel between Salt Lake City, UT and Carlsbad and San Diego, CA sites, up to 15-20%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 4+ years of work experience in design and development engineering and/or manufacturing engineering and/or quality assurance and/or quality engineering
- AS9100 Lead Auditor Certified or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of hire
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance, as required
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability and willingness to travel when required to support all BCS sites
- ProSci Change Management Certificate
- Project and team leadership experience
- Technical Structured Problem-Solving experience. Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines
- Ability to productively contribute work, ideas, and collaboration as part of a team
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $67,500 - $125,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
