L3Harris is seeking a Procurement Specialist for our Cape Canaveral Space Force Station location to provide logistic support and sustainment in support of the US Navy’s Strategic System Programs.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for performing physical and administrative tasks in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment at a main operating base and deployed locations.
- Unpacking and checking received assets from support depot and lateral support units against invoices.
- Issuing and picking of material in support of the customer’s needs.
- Packing and shipping of material including the raising of commercial invoices and customs documentation.
- Assembly of material into locally fabricated kits.
- Inventorying of warehouse and deployable spares kits.
- Enter and manipulate data in a logistics management system.
- Create and use reports and queries to analyze demand patterns to support inventory improvement rates.
- Asset management of deployed inventory.
- Process reparable and obsolete material returns to depot.
- Dispose of scrap material safely IAW local policy and procedures.
- Lead a team that provides asset management customer service to the FTI & NS Divisions in support of the objectives of Government Compliance.
- Contributes to the preparation of asset management reports as needed, including data for financial reports, physical inventory reports and results, lost equipment, self-assessment results and additional reports.
- Analyze the asset portfolio to identify areas for potential re-utilization or increased utilization of assets to reduce capital expenditures.
- Interfaces with customers, auditors, senior management, and other internal stakeholders for all asset management matters.
- Evaluate overall asset management program effectiveness.
- Identify and correct process deficiencies and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
- Manage spares/repairs to meet customers goals for material availability.
- Maintain all documentation IAW Corporate and local requirements and Meet all Major Program Milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Able to Travel up to 5% of the time.
- Able to work non-standard and extend hours depending upon customer mission requirements.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. up to 10% of the time utilizing proper lifting techniques and climb ladders daily.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Contracts Management and Finance concepts.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Secret Security Clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

- FEDLOG/Familiarity with Navy Supply Systems
- Data Analysis skills including experience with Microsoft Excel formulas, charts and pivot tables
- International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) experience

- Be a self-starter and team player.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations.
