Job Description:
Scheduling & Material Planning (SMP) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Specialist with deep functional and technical expertise across multiple Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules. This role will serve as a subject matter expert and liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring our Oracle systems are optimized to support scheduling & material planning, logistics, property management, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement operations.
The ideal candidate has high proficiency/hands-on experience with ASCP (Advanced Supply Chain Planning), WIP (Work in Process), BOM (Bill of Materials), Engineering, Inventory, Projects, Receiving, and P2P (Procure-to-Pay), as well as strong skills in project management, system implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
Essential Functions:
- Act as a key Oracle functional expert for ASCP, WIP, BOM, Engineering, Inventory, Projects, Receiving, EAM and P2P modules. Requires collaboration with:
- Business users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide scalable solutions.
- IT Developers to design, test, and deploy customizations, reports, and integrations.
- Metrics & Reporting developers to advise appropriate data source use and/or explain system functionality if needed.
- Auditors (internal & external) to provide information upon request.
- Lead and support Oracle EBS implementations, migrations, and upgrade initiatives, ensuring alignment with project management best practices. Collaborate with IT on configurations, enhancements and maintaining Oracle EBS modules to align with evolving business processes.
- Use internal SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and CEMLI (Configurations, Extensions, Modifications, Localizations, Integrations) methodologies to deliver reliable and compliant solutions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives leveraging Oracle system functionality through conducting system monitoring and analyses. Identify performance or process issues, and coordinate with business customers to maintain system health and efficiency.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge management artifacts including end-user work instructions, test scripts, process flows, and training materials.
- Lead impact analysis for Oracle system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Provide production support, resolve system issues, and ensure data integrity across modules.
- Partner cross-functionally with Scheduling & Material Planning, Logistics, Property Management, Supply Chain, Operations-Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management teams.
- Travel ~10%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of job area and practical experience in Oracle of ASCP, WIP, BOM, and Receiving/Inventory, with broad knowledge of project management.
- 6+ years of hands-on Oracle E-Business Suite functional experience.
- Oracle EAM, Projects, Engineering and P2P knowledge desirable.
- Serve as a project lead for Oracle initiatives, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional resources.
- Proven experience in project management, system implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, influencing decision-making through data-driven insights and system expertise.
- Demonstrated Lean Principles to support internal customer Continuous Improvement (CI) workshops and provide system demonstrations with business stakeholders to drive alignment on requirements and solutions.
- Mentor and provide guidance to team members to build internal expertise through knowledge sharing and establish best practices for Oracle system use and governance.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $82,500- $153,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $94,000- $175,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
