Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineering Intern to join our Integrated Communication System team. The internship offers hands-on experience with advanced communication systems, mentorship from experienced engineers, opportunities to contribute to real-world projects, networking, professional development, and competitive compensation.
As an intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to support the design, development, and testing of advanced communication systems. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and expand your knowledge in systems engineering within a leading technology company.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the design and development of integrated communication systems, including requirements analysis, system architecture, and component selection.
- Participate in system integration and testing activities, including creating test plans, executing tests, and documenting results.
- Support the development and maintenance of system documentation, including system specifications, interface control documents, and design reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and network engineers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of communication systems.
- Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by contributing to process enhancements and best practices in systems engineering.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $25.00/hr - $47.50/hr. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $22.00/hr - $40.50/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
