Job Description:

We are currently seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineer with a strong desire for problem-solving to join our dynamic team at L3Harris. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying, analyzing, and overcoming manufacturing challenges, thereby significantly enhancing our operational efficiency and product quality. Your role will be central to devising creative solutions that address complex manufacturing issues, ensuring the smooth and effective running of our production lines.

As a collaborative and resourceful member of our cross-functional team, you will apply your robust analytical skills and innovative mindset to troubleshoot, iterate, and evolve our manufacturing processes. Your adaptability and critical thinking will be key as you navigate through various engineering challenges, becoming a linchpin in our drive towards operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the charge in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems to boost efficiency and enhance product quality.
  • Develop and implement targeted strategies to tackle production challenges, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to solve cross-functional manufacturing issues with innovative engineering solutions.
  • Balance a hands-on approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage and uphold operational standards.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and root cause analyses to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies to drive operational advancements.
  • Interpret and analyze technical data to ensure manufacturing outcomes align with stringent customer and internal standards.
  • Craft detailed reports and actionable insights from complex data to guide decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance.
  • Travel: 10%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • PLC/Automation experience is preferred.
  • GUI programming is preferred.
