Job Description:
Specialist with a strong knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering (Industrial Engineer) and Project Management. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation and coordinate activities required to complete assigned initiatives. Manages large complex projects for standing up a new programs. Analyzes engineering problems and adopt effective courses of action. Role includes working across multiple value streams and employing lean methodologies to improve product flow and increase throughput.
Essential Functions:
- Use engineering principles and practices as they relate to manufacturing engineering and design.
- Use of various computer systems and applicable software programs to produce reports and spreadsheets.
- Work with measurement studies and statistical techniques.
- Use computer based predetermined time systems, workflow simulation, and performance measurement systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant manufacturing engineer experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related manufacturing engineer experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related manufacturing engineer experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in Capacity Simulation Software. (example – ProModel)
- Experience in the development of excel based capacity models.
- Proficient in the use of MS Project.
- LEAN and Six Sigma production techniques
- Industrial Engineer degree perferred
