Job Description:

L3Harris Corporation is currently seeking a high-energy Program Manager to lead the growth and execution of our Maritime C5ISR and Machinery Control Depot spares and repairs business. The PM will have a unique end-to-end life cycle management opportunity to leverage decades of L3Harris experience in C5ISR and Machinery Control solutions to shape next generation solutions with customers, build a portfolio of new business, and own its profitability in execution.

Work scope includes, but is not limited to, developing trusted relationships with internal and external customers, leading the execution of Depot/Spares/Repairs programs, coordinating with capture resources to shape new pursuit and follow-on production program requirements and defining winning solutions, leveraging IR&D investment, to positioning L3Harris to successfully win and execute business in this market. The individual must be able to work across a matrixed organization, influence outcomes, and possess both strong Program Management fundamentals and competitive capture experience. 

This position has functional authority for planning, organization, control, documentation, tracking, integration, financial monitoring and completion of customer programs. While working closely with the Business Development, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain community both internal and external, Operations and Quality departments.  This position may manage proposal efforts from customer requirements definition through solution definition to negotiation and contract award. The successful candidate must be able to create and maintain a collaborative work environment; set goals; give clear direction to the team and provide decisive and constructive feedback; empower individuals to take ownership for their assignments; identify and capture funded program growth in addition to facilitating capture of new opportunities with customers; and demonstrate and insist on ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.

Essential Functions:

  • Work collaboratively with and act as primary point of contact for Customer stakeholders for each assigned L3Harris subsystem.
  • Develop, manage, and track receipt, execution, and delivery of all Maritime C5ISR and Controls spares and repairs equipment.
  • Manage cost, schedule and technical performance on multiple, parallel development, production and qualification efforts.
  • Develop and submit all proposals for spares and repairs business
  • Develop and monitor financial forecasts for monthly, quarterly and annual reviews
  • Coordinate resource requirements (Staffing) with subsystem Program Managers and work with functional leadership to assure that issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Develop Monthly performance assessment and support Customer, and Executive Management reviews

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Must have extensive experience with Fixed Price contracts and Fixed Price major subcontracts.
  • Must have a strong understanding of Government contracting requirement, such as FAR, ITAR, etc.
  • Familiarity with DOD/MIL standards and military equipment qualification process
  • Expert EVMS knowledge demonstrated on successful production programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Proposal Development and Capture efforts
  • US Secret Security Clearance required
  • Required to work full time onsite and able to travel up to 15% of the time

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Proven ability to lead parallel development and deployment efforts through delivery and trials
  • Demonstrated track record successfully transitioning new products and systems through qualification and into production
  • Proven leadership and staff development skills
  • Experience working with NAVSUP customer
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or working towards certification
