We have an opening for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer that will perform entry-level professional assignments following established policies. This position requires some professional judgment and a limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. This position will be located in our Camden, Arkansas facility.
Our growing Camden, AR site has the newest, state-of-the-art large solid rocket motor facility in the nation to produce rocket motors that support our nation’s most important next generation national security programs, like the Sentinel (Ground Based Strategic Deterrent), hypersonics and missile defense targets. Camden is also where we produce solid rocket motors and warheads critical to the nation’s defense, like THAAD, Standard Missile, Tactical Tomahawk, Javelin and the Patriot Missile System. Essential job functions:
Assist with technical oversight and troubleshooting of complex operations involved in the manufacture of insulation components, insulated rocket motor cases, composite rocket motor components, propellant formulations, and rocket motor assembly operation.
Create, prepare, and maintain detailed planning (Standard Operating Procedures) for the manufacture of rocket warhead components.
Perform hands on pilot operations for manufacture of new inert or energetic components, and development program components and assemblies.
Accurately report problems, solutions and results, in concise written and oral communications.
Perform mathematical calculations for geometric checks and chemical mixtures.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
