About the role
We are seeking an experienced optical or Laser technician to join a specialist team, working on one of the organisation’s key operational programs. Reporting to the Repair Facility Manager, our Technicians address the client’s routine and ad-hoc maintenance requirements a suite of Night Fighting Equipment (NFE) products.
The primary remit of this role is to carry out assembly, calibration and preventative maintenance activities on precision optical test equipment. Your activities can include but not be limited to conducting technical inspections and level appropriate repairs to allocated units, supporting root cause failure analysis investigations, providing technical day-to-day support across the NFE product range, ensuring repair part stock levels are maintained and supporting quality control activities as directed by your lead.
About you
To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
- Relevant trade training or qualifications
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the repair of Optical, Laser or NFE equipment.
- A Strong understanding of Optical, Laser safety related issues.
