Job Description: 

L3Harris is looking for an integration and test engineer to support multiple programs as part of our Systems Integration and Test team. Responsible for performing the integration and test of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) vehicles in a lab setting and on the production floor. You will work closely with the Operations Team in the production of the vehicles including providing advanced electromechanical and system software troubleshooting, test infrastructure maintenance and development, and operator training among other functions. You will also work closely with the Systems Development team in making product improvements and updates for testability. This position requires a proficient self-starter that is motivated to contribute to mission success.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for supporting test technicians and engineering team with respect to troubleshooting test failures of the device under test (DUT), executing tests, proper use of electronic test equipment, or the associated electronic test equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving the test infrastructure to reach production goals; designs test hardware and/or software for increased automation and efficiency.
  • Assist various engineering teams with product design, development, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for supporting Failure Review Board (FRB) and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis actions.
  • Responsible for proactively supporting customer deliverable production goals.
  • Communicates within and outside of own function to report status, roadblocks, improvement areas, support needs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior software integration experience or Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior software integration experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior software integration experience.
  • Active US DOD SECRET security clearance
    • Onboarding is contingent upon clearance received/approved
  • 2+ years’ experience in RF or Digital engineering troubleshooting techniques, tools, and process.
  • 2+ years’ experience with high-speed digital and RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscope, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • 2+ years’ experience in hardware and software integration and test role

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Highly motivated, self-starter and willing to learn.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment.
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with Boundary Scan/LabVIEW/MATLAB/other tools for instrument control and test automation.
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing production of electronic devices.
  • Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers.
  • Familiarity with software products such as but not limited to: Microsoft Office, TFTP32, Treater, PuTTY, Notepad++, WinSCP, FileZilla, Winmerge, Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS, Falcon view etc.
  • Experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices.

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $75,000 - $139,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
