Job Description:
IMS is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Intelligence to lead our Business Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, business intelligence tools, and team leadership. This role involves driving the strategic planning and execution of BI initiatives that support our business goals. The Senior Manager will be responsible for transforming data into insights that will drive business value.
Recognized as an internal expert and thought leader in area of expertise with broad experience across multiple job areas. Works under consultative direction against annual goals to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new systems, concepts, or technologies. Recommends tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall business or functional results.
Essential Functions:
- Leading and managing a team of data analysts and BI professionals.
- Developing and executing data strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Designing and implementing comprehensive business analytics frameworks.
- Driving data governance and ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into analytical projects.
- Communicating complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Staying current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in business analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years or prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business analytics or data analysis roles.
- At least 7 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within a business analytics team.
- Proven experience in developing and executing data strategies that support business objectives.
- Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex analytical projects.
- Strong background in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills, comfortable presenting to senior management and external clients.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $119K-221K. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $137-254K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
