Job Description:

We are looking for HVAC Services Technicians and Helpers to join our team. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting utility systems and building infrastructure. Key tasks involve equipment maintenance, light and ballast replacement, belt alignment, lubrication, refrigerant checks, filter changes, and coil cleaning. Candidates should be skilled in diagnosing equipment issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and interpreting technical instructions. Additional duties include minor plumbing repairs, ceiling tile replacement, snow removal, and coordinating with external service providers. Safety adherence to all environmental, safety, and health policies, including OSHA requirements, is essential.

Essential Functions:

• Perform assigned maintenance and repairs (PM, CM, General) to facility and utiliy equipment.
• Maintenance activities include but not limited to equipment operational condition readings and adjustments, light build and ballast replacement, replacement and alignment of belts, general equipment lubrication, equipment refrigerant verification and recharge, filter replacement, coil and equipment cleaning.
• Performs a wide variety of complex duties to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
• Coordinate all maintenance activities prior to execution.
• Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, chart, graph, or specification form.
• Ability to analyze reports and records.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Perform and/or support the execution of projects.
• Operate portable power and hand tools, and electrical and mechanical test equipment, as needed to perform assigned work.
• Adjust temperature, humidity, and room pressure set points.
• Perform simple plumbing and piping troubleshooting and repairs.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Facilities Maintenance Technician/Mechanic may be required to:
• Perform ceiling tile replacement, minor plumbing repairs and/or unclogging, snow and ice removal, minor door and wall repair, minor flooring repairs and touch up patching and painting.
• Order materials for repairs or replacements.
• Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors.
• Interface with other departments representatives as assigned, to ensure manufacturing operations and project receive effective technical support.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/facilitator.
• Follow applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
• Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
