Job Description:
This position, Government Compliance Manager, will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to driving successful business engagements with the U.S. Government. This includes partnering with the business to maintain compliance within the relevant government regulations while effectively supporting and maximizing the business’ goals and strategies. The Manager will also directly interact with and be responsible for building strong professional relationships with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). Responsibilities include but not limited to efforts related to the Disclosure Statement (DS), Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP), Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) and associated government audits.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the preparation and submitting of adequate DS, FPRP, ICS.
- Research compliance issues, interpret government regulations (CAS, FAR/DFARS) and provide recommendations to business and leadership
- Represent Government Compliance on cross-functional teams as the CAS, FAR/DFARS subject matter expert
- Interface with DCMA and DCAA on matters related to DS, FPRP, ICS and associated government audits.
- Lead and support internal and external audits related to DS, FPRP, ICS
- Support business cost accounting changes including the General Dollar Magnitude (GDM) or Detailed Cost Impact (DCI) calculations
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Graduate Degree with minimum of 7-years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient government accounting knowledge and experience at a defense contractor or government agency
- Demonstrated ability to prepare adequate DS, FPRP, ICS submissions
- Ability to interpret, communicate and apply CAS, FAR/DFARS
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels to explain and influence change related to company practices, policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage large, complex projects with minimal oversight or direction
- Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
- Proficient experience working with PeopleSoft
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment driven by business needs and/or customer requirements
- Previous leadership experience with a strong emphasis on fostering high employee engagement is a plus.
- Experience with Business Systems and with General Dollar Magnitude and Detailed Cost Impact is a plus
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $86,000-159,00. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $98,500- $182,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
