Job Description:
As the Chief Technologist of MicroElectronics, you will lead efforts to drive the future of MicroE as an advanced technology organization which includes overseeing development of technology roadmaps, research and development projects / investments, driving the technology strategy for the organization, and serving as the thought leader for MicroE.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal MicroE Subject Matter Expert (SME) / thought leader for L3Harris and represent L3Harris as the MicroE SME
- Advise General Manager on technology trends, strategy, investments, and talent
- Collaborate with Chief Engineer and Advanced Concepts Engineering (ACE) organizations to deliver R&D projects and programs in cross-functional teams
- Direct the workforce development strategy for MicroE in partnership with Chief Engineer
- Coordinate L3Harris enterprise on all MicroE technology issues and opportunities
- Attend tradeshows, conferences and present L3Harris MicroE capabilities and innovations
- Shape L3Harris MicroE brand recognition within the community as a recognized leader
- Build relationships and interface with customers, identify and shape new business opportunities in partnership with Business Development
- Actively build new customer relationships and industry / academic partnerships
- Serve as the senior technical expert representing L3Harris with customers, industry partners, and academia
- Create compelling executive and board-level material to inform, recommend, and facilitate decision-making. Translate complex customer / technical / business concepts into visually compelling and crisp messages
- Reports to Sector President with dotted line reporting into General Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in business, accounting, finance, marketing, economics, engineering, computer science, or related quantitative field
- Minimum of 15 years of prior related experience or graduate degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to generate innovative insights from analysis, communicate results effectively, and work with business partners in developing and implementing new methodologies and analysis to drive actionable results
- Ability to think abstractly and analytically provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to internal customers, teammates, and external constituencies
- Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities / projects simultaneously
- Strong executive presence as well as the ability to effectively influence and make recommendations at all levels of the organization
- High level of business / financial acumen; global business acumen in defense
- High level of integrity, open and productive collaboration, and teamwork across multiple functions throughout the enterprise
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $153,500 - $285,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
