Job Description: Assemble hardware of SCNC products using crimping tools, torque drivers, soldering iron, hotplate and work under Microscope. Position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with focus on quality and attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to read assembly drawings, BOM, wire list, engineering change orders, rework instructions, and process control instructions
- Fully proficient individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.
- Mechanical assembly using crimping tool, hot plate and torque drivers.
- Able to lift minimum of 35 lbs.
- Able to work on ladder, crane and scaffolding.
- Able to work under Microscope.
- Basic hand soldering of SMT, through-hole, and wiring.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Plan and execute work schedules in conjunction with hardware schedule requirements
- Responsible for the manufacturing of all hardware on one or more product lines.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly. Familiar with wiring, harness assembly, and coax cable assembly.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are certified in J-STD-001 Class 3
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Prior experience reading documentation, drawings, and process control instructions.
- Prior experience soldering.
- Pior experience with basic computer skill (Windows/excel).
- Security Clearance required upon hire: Clearance Not Required
- Security Clearance required for role: Ability to Obtain
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $44,000 - $57,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
