Job Description:
Program Manager responsible for managing the cost, schedule and technical performance requirements of programs through all phases from inception to completion. Manage programs to achieve quarterly orders, revenue, operating income & cash flow targets. Work with Sales/Customers/International Representatives to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunities. Involved in the preparation of moderate sized proposals, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms & conditions of a sale. Ensures that all resources such as Engineering, Technical Support, Production and Facilities are available and aligned to meet program objectives. Communicate with contacts within and outside of own department and may occasionally have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization.
International travel within the business region as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant Program Management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Program Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Program Management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Defense industry experience; tactical military communications knowledge a plus
- Previous experience working on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs, other forms of government contracts and direct commercial sales contracts
- International experience and/or managing international programs. Experience in Africa or the Middle East a plus
- Possess excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a distributed team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools.
- PMP Certification a plus
- Knowledge of international shipping terms and export control regulations; general understanding of export of ITAR and EAR controlled materials.
- Experience with MS Office suite of tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $79,000 - $146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
