Job Description:
L3Harris Communication Systems is seeking a senior Program Manager to join our tactical program management team to deliver mission critical solutions to our DoD customers. This position is responsible for managing complex DoD programs through all phases from proposal to period of performance completion.
This Program Manager will drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives and responsible for the cost, revenue, cash, schedule and technical performance.
Essential Functions:
- Manage scope to ensure continued alignment with contract requirements and budgets
- Identify risks, develop and implement corrective action when necessary to initiate program changes
- Lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
- Monitor and control expenditures within the limitations of the program budgets and regularly report on program performance
- Manage schedule and delivery of contract deliverables
- Provide clear, concise program status updates to both management and customers
- Work with customers and assist sales team to secure new orders, formulate requirements, help expedite orders and new business opportunities
- Domestic travel of up to 20% may be expected
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (US citizenship)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Program Management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Program Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Program Management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior DoD experince
- Technical background preferred
- PMI certification and EVMS experience a plus
- MS Project experience
- Previous experience managing complex programs including development or system integration
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $90,500 - $168,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
