Job Description:
L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our team. This position is a great opportunity to learn the Communication Systems business and once successful, could result in additional opportunities within the finance organization in the future. This role will be onsite, based at our Rochester, NY location. In this role, the associate will assist in maintaining internal controls over financial reporting for the segment, remediation efforts for identified control issues within CS entities, billing, invoicing, and cash collections and forecasting. The senior associate will work directly with the segment’s controls lead and the billing and collections team. The successful candidate is an individual who has a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor control deficiencies and remediation efforts for CS
- Participate in remediation status update calls
- Support internal and external audits; actively participate in process improvement initiatives
- Responsible for setting up, validating and generating complex invoices to various customers
- Ensure all assigned invoices are processed and completed in a timely manner per the terms and conditions of the contract
- Support cash application process through research and reconciliation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with customer/management reporting
- Proactive, creative, and analytical skills including problem identification, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated strengths will include a highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, and effective communication tactics
- Ability to successfully work as a team
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $47,500 - $88,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
