Job Description:
Support various financial activities in the Operations Accounting department. Core responsibilities include working with various finance and non-finance functions to determine monthly program costing, warranty reserve liability and unearned revenue balance. Additionally, this role supports month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close, and internal and external audits.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare monthly close journal entries - balance sheet and costing of project inventory
- Prepare monthly analysis for recognition of unearned revenue
- Prepare quarterly analysis of warranty reserve liability
- Prepare quarterly summary of percentage-of-completion and cost-plus contracts and related reserve position
- Provide monthly reporting/reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Support and update internal controls of related matters to be in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
- Support internal and external audit of related matters
- Be an integral team player on meeting monthly close processes and deadlines
- Assist with Ad Hoc request and reporting as necessary
- Travel domestically less than 5% of the time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Oracle
- Strong Excel skills
- Graduate degree

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Washington State and New York State is $58,500 - $108,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
