About your next Challenge as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician - Component Shop:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the Aircraft Maintenance Support D will perform work and be ready to sign a Maintenance Release for their work. The technician will carry out inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and testing of mechanical and hydraulic CF188 components. The selected individual shall have demonstrated acceptable levels of knowledge of the AMO and its Quality Program and have been issued a SCA Authorization to sign maintenance release in respect to work performed on aeronautical products.
What You Will Do:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test mechanical and hydraulic Cf188 aeronautical components in accordance with approved Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTOs), technical drawings, work instructions and other approved references;
- Certify maintenance release (once authorized SCA) in respect to work performed;
- Demonstrate caution and comply with L3Harris health and safety regulations;
- Participate in training and information sessions, as required;
- Report any un-airworthy conditions discovered;
- Become familiar with the MPM and related processes;
- Follow local policies, such as:
- Tool Control;
- Health and Safety;
- Foreign Object Damage (FOD); and
- Flight Safety.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- You must hold an AME license appropriately rated (M2, or E) and/or equivalent military experience (AVN or AVS)
- CF188 maintenance experience (on or off- aircraft) (preferred)
- Knowledge of IETM (preferred)
- Knowledge of DMS (CF349s, CF53s, etc) (preferred)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
- For on-site positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required.
