Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated and driven Director, Program Management to oversee a $40M product line portfolio. The ideal candidate should have program management skills and experience managing programs in a high complexity, highly dynamic environment. Overall responsibilities include working with multiple internal and external customers, leading the internal and subcontractor teams in capturing, and executing antenna development and production programs and/or studies including:
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for leading a team of Program Managers and the programs they are managing which result in an annual revenue of approximately $42M including Career Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Coaching, and Mentoring
• Responsible for customer satisfaction, maintaining communication, and the overall management of the relationship
• Responsible for ensuring the management of the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of the release systems portfolio of programs through all phases from inception to completion
• Direct the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budget, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
• Ensure that all resources such as engineering, manpower, operations, and facilities are available to support the programs
• Involved in defining program parameters or guiding internal research and development efforts in assigned field
• Work with customers to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities
• Solve highly complex problems with significant business impact
• Interact internally with management and customers on significant business matters
• Responsible for the overall development and management of the financial forecasts and strategic planning of the product line
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Active Clearance Preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Solid technical background with strong business acumen
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to organize and coordinate customer visits
• Ability to make effective decisions regarding the profitability and achievability of pursuits
• Ability to work with other Program Managers, Business Development Managers, Product Lines, and Engineering functions
• Ability to communicate in a thorough, clear, and timely manner which supports information sharing and goal achievement
• Proven experience developing broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, even when having no direct authority over them
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Previous experience managing government contracts
• Previous Telemetry experience highly desired
• PMP or equivalent highly desired
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $157,000-$291,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
